This has been one of my most memorable birthdays of my life. I am so touched by the barrage of sms messages that I received while I was grooving to some R&B music on the platform at Club MoMo. Hah...Thanks Boo boo for accompanying me that night. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised with msn messages from friends whom I have not heard for ages, especially our dear panda friend.
It's especially heartwarming to receive greetings from friends miles away. I received a birthday package from Germany, which was really sweet. Thanks Christoph! And also to our dear durrow gals, whom I miss dearly and fondly in Perth. I appreaciate the cards and messages. Han, thanks for burning those CDs for me. Sook, another durrow gal from KL, Malaysia, thanks for calling me that night. It meant a lot. Special thanks to David too, who sent a birthday card miles away. Daren, thanks for remembering even you are holidaying in Hong Kong. Yes, Black too....from China.
Who can forget the three other musketeers (as seen depicted by the bears in the picture)? Shermay Boo boo and Jane Doe, thanks for the dvd player. Both of you have played significant parts in my life and thanks for everything. Pearlene, thanks for delivering me a wonderful surprise on my birthday with the sweet bouquet of flowers, balloon, bears and vouchers. Hah...never thought I would receive a bunch of flowers this year. I have known you for eighteen years and you are probably one that has seen most of my poignant events in my life. Thanks for everything once again.
To many (cousins, friends from Perth and Singapore) whom I have not mentioned, you are in my thoughts. I'm glad that I have known you and in many ways, you have shaped me for who I am today. I am one who appreciates friendships and treasure all of them. MERCI BEAUCOUP, TOUT LE MONDE (thanks a lot, everyone)!
