Winter in Vienna

I arrived Vienna grinning and trembling. Grinning due to excitement and trembling coz of the bitter cold. Singapore is a tiny island whose temperature does not vary much and here I am, thwarting in the frigid cold of an average temperature of 1 degree celsius.

Snow gets in your face. The routine of wearing and removing tons of clothing gets repetitive. Your whole body turns numb. Lips are chapped. Vision is blurred because of the falling snow. The thought of a place warm and comfortable is tempting and always inviting (thus explains the frequent visits to Kaffeehaus).

However, winter brings the nicest scenery. Trees with glistening white caps, snow-covered roofs, vast ivory plains are common sights. The serenity and calmness of this season proposes a feeling of romanticism and a sense of idealism.
